Our Green Initiative

Billings Media Blasting began in 2006 using an environmentally friendly media called baking soda.  That’s right pure baking soda like you would bake a cake with!  Since starting with baking soda Billings Media Blasting now continues to use environmentally friendly products. Most recently we have expanded into recycled products as well.  We now use recycled crushed glass media for abrasive blasting such as removing rust or prepping a surface for paint. 

As a vegetation friendly alternative for baking soda in areas where there is a lot or vegetation or high dust levels just aren’t acceptable we use crushed walnut shells which is a product recycled by the walnut growers of California.  New for 2010 is the use of bio diesel in our diesel powered compressors.  No more use of natural resources.  Instead we are making the air smell like french fries and burning someone else’s waste. Billings Media Blasting plans on continuing its green initiative to better care for the earth!
