The use of walnut shells for media blasting purposes is an eco friendly way of reusing the walnut industries waste for a purpose of stripping or cleaning any surface. Walnut shell blasting is a soft and gentle process very similar to baking soda blasting. Walnut shells have many benefits similar to baking soda as well as a few benefits baking soda lacks. Walnut shells are gentle enough to not damage metal, fiberglass or stone. Walnut shells are also a preferred media in areas of high vegetation or when high dust levels are not acceptable.
