What Is Abrasive Blasting?
Abrasive blasting is a process similar to soda blasting but with the use of an abrasive media. The abrasive media we use in most cases is recycled crushed glass; that if looked at under a microscope has sharp jagged edges. These edges scrape paint and rust off the surface being blasted. An abrasive media is used if a project has rust or if a particular profile is desired. We have the capability to blast with what ever abrasive material that is needed to complete your job!!
Here is an application in which this chassis had both rust and paint and was in need of preparation for paint.
It was blasted with medium crushed glass in order to remove the rust and old paint.
Clean White Metal!
Here is an application that needed to be prepared for paint and left with a surface free of mill scale.
Free of Mill Scale !
In this application our abilities to blast with both abrasive and non-abrasive mediea allowed us to first blast the brass with Baking Soda in order to not damage the material.
Then mask off the brass and blast the rest with medium Crushed Glass.
